I just love newborns, so tiny, so cute and sweet! I've been waiting what seems like forever to photograph a baby girl with some of my new headbands and blankets and I didn't even get to use them all on this sweet pea but that is ok, I had a blast working with her. I almost forgot to use the Santa hat that I knitted just for her shoot too, luckily we snuck in a shot at the very end:) I need to figure out a different method for heat though as it is a little inefficient to heat my whole house for a wee babe in the coldest part of my house..sheesh...maybe someday that perfect studio space will find me (or vice versa). Anyway, enough about me and let's see the cute baby! Congratulations to Mom and Dad...she's a keeper!

Life is beautiful...Central Kansas Maternity Photographer
I believe that you must capture the different phases of life because soon they will be gone and all that is left are memories and photographs keep those memories fresh. I remember waiting for the birth of our second child and just how much I wanted to treasure those quiet moments with my daughter before baby came. I was so tired and exhausted from being pregnant and chasing an active toddler but it is fun to think back and remember the sweet moments we did share. She liked to play Beauty shop (or as she said it, "Booty shop"), and that was perfect because I could sit and she played with my hair...it was a win, win! This post really isn't about me but it got me thinking:) This little girl's life is just about to change and she will be a big sister soon...how exciting! I know she will be such a great big sister, she is so loving and sweet! Hope you enjoy!

Pure Joy...Central Kansas Family Photographer
This past summer I had the opportunity to photograph the love between family members who although live far apart, they are no doubt close. Before our shoot, I was talking with my client about goals for the session and she told me that she wanted to be informal and show "pure joy". During our shoot, none of them knew that I was videoing at the same time and I presented this video/slideshow to my client as a surprise...she cried. And, when I see others cry, I cry. I was so happy that she felt the "joy" in the work that I showed her and it wasn't hard, because that is what I saw. I enjoyed so much doing this session that I just had to share this clip with you. Enjoy!

Please Santa...don't forget me:)...Central Kansas Photographer
My sisters are carrying on and on about princess dresses, American Girl Doll accessories, blue tree stands (what? yep:)) and more things they would like for Christmas and Santa...I hope that you will remember me:) I have been such a good baby, but I can only giggle and coo and I occasionally cry but I'm sure you will forget about that, because as I was saying, I have been very good boy!
Sincerely, Baby brother

Baby love...Central Kansas Child Photographer
He's pretty cute and he's all mine:) Love, love my little man! He is such a great addition to our family and such a happy and laid back little guy and he's got the greatest little smile:) Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! We drove 13 hours to my brother's house and we had a great time. We stayed in a hotel and thought we would take the kids swimming but it turns out that the pool was TOOO cold for anyone to even want to step foot in it...LOL. Oh well. It was an indoor/outdoor pool but the heat was not turned up very high in the pool apparently because I agreed with the kids! BRRRR.

Little Miss...Central Kansas Photographer
Meet my niece...what a beauty she is and such a great big cousin to my kids. They all just have a ball when they are together, along with the rest of the cousins too. As the oldest, she usually takes on the role of the ring-leader. What a blessing it is to have so many cousins to play with...I only wish we were all closer:)
It was rather chilly and windy this morning, so we kept it short and sweet and I didn't want to take up too much play time either. Although I could have played all morning, I don't think my girls would have appreciated that. Enjoy:)

The B Family, Central Kansas Photographer
What a fun family to be around! These boys are twins and were just so much fun. It was neat to see their different personalities. The weather couldn't have been nicer and this barn that we were photographing around was just gorgeous! I wish it were in my backyard:) It was so nice to meet you all and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

The D family...Central Kansas Family Photographer
Another beautiful evening in Kansas and it was a lot of fun to spend it with such a great family. It was a touch on the breezy side but wind blown hair is in anyway, right? right:) These girls make it look glamourous, as I'm sure they would on any day:) I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

The {O} kids...Central Kansas Photographer
I'm so glad that the cold weather took a break for these kids. It was just a gorgeous night and they were a lot of fun. The little guy is two and was cracking me up with his personality. At one time during our shoot while I was photographing him, he said, "I'm going to turn around" and faced his back side to me. haha. Unfortunately for him I don't give up that easy:) And, his sister is such a big girl now and in school! They grow up too fast:) At the end, I had her pick some poses for me and I think she's an aspiring model or at least she knows that they like to whip their hair and stand all sassy...HA:)

The B Family...Central Kansas Family Photographer
We finally are getting some much needed rain! Too bad it came on the weekend of my photoshoot with this sweet family. We made the best of it, though, and still shot outside on a wonderful covered porch! The lighting was just beautiful and it was fun! Their oldest, now two, is just the cutest and kept us giggling with things he was saying:) One thing is for certain...he likes candy and his baby sister! She likes him too, and we had to have him help a few times to get her to look up...what a big helper:) Thanks again for being so flexible...I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby Z...6 days old...Central Kansas Newborn Photographer, Kansas Newborn Photographer, Ellsworth Newborn Photographer
Another cute baby boy! His Mom and I joke that someday my son and their son will be college roommates...thank goodness we have several years to prepare for that:) This little guy (or shall I say big guy since he weighed over 9 lbs at birth) was just the sweetest baby and no doubt that he is well loved! Thanks again for letting me play and I hope you enjoy!
